Jordi Faus made a presentation on the legal framework and new financing models in innovative therapies
Faus & Moliner participated in the V Conference of the Roche Institute: “Towards a Health System based on the Creation of Value”, which was held in Madrid on the 27th of November of 2018.
In his presentation, Jordi Faus exposed the legal framework applicable to the financing of medicinal products. He focused on the challenges that arise from new available treatments and the need to ensure the rights of patients.
In regard to the rights of patients, Jordi Faus has remarked that, currently, the access to adequate treatments under equity regime should be considered a fundamental right.
Regarding the impact of new treatments in the management of the pharmaceutical provision, Jordi Faus pointed out that it will be necessary to be open to alternatives consistent to a more integral vision of the treatments.
